
Stav
Meishar, originally from
audition –
on the Israeli National
Tour of “Oliver!” (directed by Menachem Golan) – at the
age of
ten. She toured
with the company for two years while playing leading roles in her
school’s
productions, including the Narrator in “Joseph…”.
Stav
later got accepted to
Yellin”,
where she graduated cum laude as a theater
major, with leading roles in all
productions. During her
high school years she
won the International French Chansons
Competition –
twice! – which sent her to
study for two summers in the French
countryside; and
participated in the run of
“The Rocky Horror Show” as both Janet and
Magenta.
After
graduating high school, Stav had the honor of playing
Elphaba in the Israeli
premiere of “Wicked” at the acclaimed
Icon Festival in
Tel-Aviv. She also worked with
actor Lior Ashkenazi (from the
films “Walk on
Water” and “Late Marriage”) in Beit Lessin
Theater’s
production of Stoppard’s
“The Real Thing” (directed by Hillel Mittelpunkt) and
took part
in the Israeli
reality show “GREASE – You’re the one that I want”.
Stav continued her studies at Beit Zvi college of Perfoming
Arts on a full scholarship
(where she played Roxie in
“Chicago”), but left
prematurely for New York City, to study
Musical Theatre at the
American Musical
and Dramatic Academy (AMDA), once again
on a scholarship.
Shortly
after graduating AMDA Stav participated in the
acclaimed show “Isramerica” in
the Sage Theater and nowadays
is continuing to
